As part of our business operations, Canada Post sponsors organizations, activities and events that support our business and marketing plans.
Sponsorship Committee
A committee has been established to oversee sponsorship and donation proposals at Canada Post. The committee also provides a 'forum' to educate the members about trends in the marketplace, share competitive information and discuss sponsorship and donation opportunities for Canada Post.
Giving Strategy
Organizations that wish to submit a sponsorship request to Canada Post should be aware that the Corporation gives priority to activities or events that are aligned with our Corporate Sponsorship and Cause Marketing Programs. All proposals received will also be assessed.

Assessment and Notification
Canada Post reviews all sponsorship requests. The sponsorship programs team makes sure that requests meet the sponsorship criteria as outlined above, and then takes into account overall benefits for Canada Post. A number of questions may be raised during the assessment process, including:
- Does the sponsorship proposal tie in with our Corporate Sponsorship and Cause Marketing Programs?
- Are costs within budget?
- Is there a good balance between the sought-after benefits and the expected costs?
- Does the targeted audience provide Canada Post with a marketing opportunity?
- Is the event likely to attract media recognition and attention, and will it enhance Canada Post's credibility and image?
- Is the sponsorship proposal a turn-key initiative or will it require Canada Post resources? If so, a detailed breakdown should be provided.
- Does the sponsorship proposal generate a feeling of belonging, of community involvement and of good citizenship?
- Is the sponsorship concept innovative, exciting and original?
All requesters are notified within approximately 45 days, by mail or email, whether their request has been accepted or declined. Proposals requesting a substantial financial commitment will generally take longer to review. Please take this factor into consideration when submitting your proposal to allow sufficient time for assessment prior to the sponsored event taking place.
Payment
Payment to successful applicants will be forwarded by mail after receipt of an original invoice. Invoices must be mailed to:
