Effective September 18, 2009 Canada Post will no longer have plastic bags available to customers, but GOOD NEWS we will now offer reusable shopping bags for sale.

The reusable bag is 12” long and 14” high. It is non-woven with external lamination and made of recycled material. The bag can be hand washed and features the Canadian 1953 2¢ Polar Bear Stamp. They will be on sale in all post offices at the cost of $0.99 plus applicable taxes.

All proceeds from the sale of the reusable shopping bags will go to the Canada Post Foundation for Mental Health.

Eliminating plastic bags is another way Canada Post is demonstrating its commitment to protecting the environment!
