Canada Post and the Association of Postal Officials of Canada (APOC) reach tentative agreement

Details of the tentative agreement, reached October 21 following several months of talks, will be released pending ratification by the approximately 3,100-member association, representing postal supervisors, sales and support staff.
"We're very pleased to have reached a negotiated agreement with APOC," said Moya Greene, Canada Post President and CEO. "We're confident our renewed partnership meets the needs of our valued employees while ensuring that we maintain our high level of service to customers."
John Barrowclough, President of APOC, said the interest-based negotiations process had produced benefits for both parties. "I am confident that Canada Post and APOC will continue to work together to meet the needs of our customers and all Canadians," Barrowclough said.
Canada Post delivers over 10 billion pieces of mail each year to 14 million addresses. Its 60,000 employees and 7,000 post offices the largest retail network in the country serve 31 million Canadians and over 1 million businesses from coast to coast to coast.
