Canada Post Takes Home Top Online Marketing Award at 2009 US Internet Advertising Awards
March 24, 2009
TORONTO - Canada Post and BlueRush Media Group Corp. (TSX-V: BTV), are pleased to announce a big win at this year’s Internet Advertising Competition Awards for Best Government Rich Media Online Campaign.
The Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards are produced by the Web Marketing Association to honor excellence in online advertising, recognize the individuals and organizations responsible, and showcase the award winning Internet advertising. They were created 12 years ago and are recognized as the premier annual event for web developers and marketers. The competition judges corporate websites against peer sites based on creativity, design, innovation, copywriting, use of the medium and overall impact.
This year’s awards recognized Canada Post’s “Move Your Bills Online with epost” rich media video campaign. The campaign shows Canadians how epost provides a secure and convenient online approach to receiving, viewing and storing (for up to seven years) financial documents. With more than five million epost users, the video is presented to site visitors more than 600,000 times a month. “We are thrilled with this award and the work BlueRush did for the campaign,” says Sophie DeLadurantaye, manager, Online Channel Marketing at Canada Post. “The video allows us to share with potential customers the benefits and convenience of using epost, in a format that was easy, fun and compelling.”
The winning production illustrates the power of leveraging rich media video and animation on the web. “We see the value of our rich media strategy every day with our clients”, says Len Smofsky, EVP of Production at BlueRush. “Viewing times on our clients’ sites consistently increase by six or seven times – not to mention the business benefits of improving your customers’ experience, reducing call centre volumes, and ensuring consistent marketing and sales messaging.About Canada Post
