On the road again: Canadian Highway Landmarks land their own stampsToday, Canada Post is taking Canadians on a cross-country journey celebrating four great Canadian Roadside Attractions along the way. The first of the three-year series begins in Northern and Western Canada with the Watson Lake Signpost Forest in Yukon; the Inukshuk in Hay River, Northwest Territories; British Columbia’s Mr. PG in Prince George; and the “Pysanka”, massive Easter egg in Vegreville, Alberta. Canada Post proposes five-year pricing planCanada Post has submitted a regulatory proposal, in accordance with the Canada Post Corporation Act (“the Act”), to set the domestic basic letter rate (BLR) for letters weighing 30g or less for a five-year period starting January 11, 2010. The BLR would increase by three cents to 57 cents in January 2010, and rise by an additional two cents annually from 2011 to 2014. The proposal will be published in the Canada Gazette on June 27, 2009.
