About the research

Nearly 7 million Canadian consumers are part of Gen Z. They were born between 1995 and 2004 and their influence is changing how marketers and advertisers connect with audiences.

In a recent survey conducted by Canada Post, nearly 4,000 Canadians shared their perspectives on various topics. We examined their thoughts on the current economy, changes in spending behaviour and their relationship with advertising. We surveyed four generational cohorts: Boomers, Gen X, Millennials and Gen Z. As we explored their perspectives, it became clear that paying close attention to Gen Z’s behaviour and preferences will be critical for businesses’ success – both now and in the future.
