    • President and CEO

    Doug Ettinger was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Canada Post in March 2019.

    Canada Post is the country’s postal service and leading parcel delivery company. In 2018, it delivered 8 billion pieces of mail, parcels and messages to 16.4 million addresses. With its subsidiaries Purolator Inc., SCI Group Inc. and Innovapost Inc., Canada Post is a leader in providing innovative e-commerce, marketing and logistics solutions.

    As Chief Commercial Officer for Canada Post from August 2016 until his appointment as CEO, Doug led growth strategies for Canada Post’s Parcels, Direct Marketing and Transaction Mail businesses. He oversaw all commercial functions, including Sales, Marketing, Retail, Digital, Business Development and Customer Service. He was also a member of the senior executive team that reviews and approves major business plans, processes and policies, as well as performance indicators and targets.

    An accomplished senior executive with a strong focus on customer service, Doug has more than 30 years of broad experience in the consumer packaged goods industry. He worked with Canadian and global organizations – leading sales, marketing, and product management.

    Before joining Canada Post in August 2016, Doug led well-established companies through complex business transformations. He was President and CEO of Scotsburn Dairy Group, the largest Atlantic Canadian-owned dairy processor and distributor. Prior to that, he was the first non-family member to be President and CEO of Ganong Bros. Limited, one of Canada’s oldest family businesses. Previously, he held executive roles with Parmalat, Nestlé and Coca-Cola.

    Doug also chairs the board of Innovapost.

    A proud native of Nova Scotia, Doug earned both a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Masters in Business Administration from Dalhousie University in Halifax.

    Cheryl Hodder, QC

    • Senior Vice-President, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability

    In addition to leading Canada Post’s legal and corporate security teams, Cheryl oversees matters of accessibility, environmental sustainability, indigenous affairs, community engagement, stakeholder collaboration, and openness and transparency.

    Cheryl joined Canada Post as General Counsel in July 2019 and since then has helped ensure the company’s business practices, policies and dealings meet regulatory requirements. She provides counsel to Canada Post, its subsidiaries and the Board of Directors.

    Cheryl has more than 25 years of legal and executive business experience. She was most recently Partner and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at McInnes Cooper, one of Canada’s 25 largest law firms. She has been named in The Best Lawyers in Canada since 2011 in the area of corporate governance and, in 2010, was named Atlantic Canada’s first Women of Influence. She is also listed as a notable practitioner in business law by Chambers Canada. She was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2010.

    Cheryl received the Canadian Bar Association’s Community Service Award for her contributions to many community organizations and boards, including the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

    Cheryl has served as a private company and Crown corporation Director and is currently a member of the Mount Allison University Board of Regents.

    She earned her Bachelor of Arts and Education degrees from Mount Allison University and her Bachelor of Law from the University of New Brunswick. She is also a Member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) and a holder of the ICD Director designation.

    Barbara MacKenzie

    • Interim Chief Financial Officer

    Barbara was appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer in February 2021. In this role, she provides expert advice and counsel to the Board and executive team on matters that support profitable growth, including operational change, business transformation, investment opportunities, customer contracts and strategic planning.

    Prior to this, she was Vice-President, Finance and Comptroller, where she was responsible for all facets of financial decision-making, comptrollership, financial performance planning, measurement, forecasting and reporting in the company.

    Barbara joined Canada Post in 1991 as a Supervisor in Customer Accounts and has held several progressively more responsible roles in the Finance organization, including positions in internal audit, financial reporting and control and decision support. Barbara has also served as Assistant Controller for Purolator Courier.

    In 2006, Barbara became General Manager, Comptroller where she was responsible for the Corporation’s financial reporting, and instrumental in developing the financial aspects of the five-year corporate plan, operating budget and financial targets.

    Barbara serves on the Board of Directors for both Innovapost and SCI, and is the Chair of the Audit Committees for both subsidiaries. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Management Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Carleton University.

    Barbara is married and has a son.

    Susan Margles

    • Chief People and Safety Officer

    In this role, Susan leads all aspects of Human Resources while advancing safety as the company’s top priority. She is also responsible for supporting collaborative efforts with all of our bargaining agents across the company.

    In her previous role as Senior Vice-President, Corporate Affairs, Susan was responsible for Government and Community Affairs, Compliance and for leading the shift to integrating Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) principles into our corporate priorities.

    Susan has served as a key advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors, playing a critical role in setting the Corporation's strategic direction through development and approval of the five-year corporate plan, as well as successfully leading the company through several mandate reviews.

    Susan joined Canada Post in 2005 from the federal government, where she worked in increasingly senior positions in several different departments, including the Department of Finance, Transport Canada, Industry Canada and Health Canada.

    Throughout her career, Susan has established excellent relationships with multiple stakeholders, bringing together divergent interests on highly sensitive issues. She is known for her strong communication skills and ability to bring complex issues to ground.

    Susan is a member of the Board of Directors of the Ottawa Jewish Community Foundation, a trustee of the Canada Post Community Foundation and a mentor in the Women’s Executive Network. She is fluently bilingual and holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics and an MBA from McGill University. She is married and is the mother of two.

    Anjali Kapal

    • Vice-President, Product Management and Development

    Appointed April 2021, Anjali leads product management and development across all lines of business at Canada Post. She serves as the Corporation’s product management and development expert and represents the customer through her leadership and direction across the organization.

    With more than 20 years’ experience in product management and development, Anjali is an accomplished leader. Her expertise is in leading and innovating consumer and SMB-focused products through strategic partnerships, consumer-centric designs and go-to-market strategies to find product-market fit and achieve scale. Through her passion for innovation and omni-channel customer experience, Anjali embraces digital to deliver great product experiences and build strong product communities.

    Prior to joining Canada Post, Anjali held senior leadership roles in Silicon Valley companies including Change Healthcare, GoDaddy, Financial Engines and PayPal. In her most recent role as Vice-President, Product Management, Communications and Payment Services at Change Healthcare, she led digital product strategy and transformation, working with teams across product management, user experience and development functions. As Vice-President, Productivity Products at GoDaddy, she led the digital product portfolio for one of its three business divisions. During her tenure, Anjali led a strategic partnership with Microsoft that enabled Productivity products for over 12 million small businesses.

    Anjali has a bachelor of applied science in electrical engineering from the University of Ottawa and completed an executive leadership program at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.

    Nadim Kara

    • Vice-President, Human Resources

    Nadim leads a national corporate-wide team of human resources professionals. As Canada Post strives to become a workplace of choice, Nadim delivers human resources programs and services that will optimize the employee experience by promoting a safe, healthy, positive and productive work environment. Nadim also provides strategic human capital direction, insight and advice to the senior leadership team and ensures that the people aspects of the business are factored into all planning and decision-making priorities.

    As part of his over 20 years of human resources and industrial relations experience advancing and aligning human resources priorities and functions, Nadim has established in-depth executive experience spanning the public and private sectors. Nadim integrates his human capital and organizational development leadership acumen to help organizations deal with evolving market realities, digital transformation, pluralism, inclusion and stakeholder needs.

    Previously, Nadim held Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Human Resources Executive positions responsible for Canadian and global human resources at Teranet, Science North, LexisNexis and the Royal Ontario Museum. Nadim was responsible for leading human resources strategy and operations, talent and succession planning, organizational development, compensation, HRIS and labour relations. Nadim also brings a breadth of experience from IBM, Rogers Communications and the Government of Ontario where he held increasingly senior positions across all human resources functions and portfolios.

    Nadim completed a Master of Industrial Relations and Human Resources degree at the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts degree at York University. He is a Certified Human Resources Executive (CHRE) and a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).
