The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) began strikes early Monday morning in Vancouver, North Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond, B.C., and in Hamilton, Scarborough (except the York Distribution Centre, where a strike that began Sunday has now ended), Ajax, Markham, Richmond Hill, North York and Pickering, Ont.
Strikes continue in and around London, Ont., and in Royal City, Maple Ridge, Surrey and the Fraser Valley, B.C.
Meanwhile, strike activity has ended in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.
Canada Post remains at the table to find the common ground needed to reach a settlement with the union. We continue to operate in an attempt to minimize further service impacts.
