Ottawa (Ont.) – With the postal service’s busiest time of the year just one week away, Canada Post is pleased to welcome Lap Wu, the pharmacist/owner of the Pharmasave at 1109 Austin Avenue in Coquitlam, B.C., to its retail network. The new postal outlet opens for service today, offering all standard Canada Post products and services in addition to extended business hours.

“The needs of our customers are ever-changing and that is all the more apparent as we head into this very busy Holiday season,” says Doug Jones, Senior Vice-President, Delivery and Customer Experience at Canada Post. “As the country’s home delivery company, Canada Post is being proactive in responding to the noticeable shift toward online shopping and use of our parcel delivery system.

“Partnering with local entrepreneurs, such as Mr. Wu, enables us to continually improve upon the services we offer and to meet or exceed our customers’ expectations in delivering the online world to all Canadians,” added Mr. Jones.

"We are very excited to announce the addition of a postal outlet to our Pharmasave," adds Mr. Wu. “Its services will enhance the way we meet the everyday convenience needs of our community.”

The new postal outlet will offer parcel pickup, shipping, stamps, post office boxes, money orders, government forms including Revenue Canada and Passport Canada, and debit/credit card payments. Services will be available six days a week – Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
