OTTAWA – Canada Post is introducing new savings, solutions and insights designed to help businesses reach more customers and compete in an evolving ecommerce marketplace. These initiatives reflect our ongoing efforts to support the Canadian economy and become the delivery partner of choice for Canadian businesses of every size.
New pricing discounts for Canadian businesses
Canada Post is making shipping more affordable for small businesses. Through December 31, 2026, all Canada Post Solutions for Small Business™ customers will automatically receive the program’s best available shipping discounts, regardless of shipping volume.
This initiative helps level the playing field for smaller businesses during the critical holiday season. Businesses that are not yet Solutions for Small Business members can join the program free of charge and access these savings.
Commercial customers continue to benefit from the most competitive shipping rates that Canada Post has ever offered. Introduced last year, these lowest-ever everyday rates give businesses more ways to save on shipping, and are backed by the unmatched reach, security and convenience of the only delivery network in Canada that is built to serve every address.

Canada Shops: a marketplace for Canadian retailers
This summer, Canada Post launched Canada Shops, a new online marketplace that connects retailers based in Canada with shoppers across the country. The marketplace provides retailers of any size with an additional channel to promote, sell and ship products directly to Canadian consumers using Canada Post services, while making it easier for Canadians to discover and shop from businesses based in Canada.
Canada Shops is currently operating in a test-and-learn phase as Canada Post continues to gather feedback and refine the experience for both retailers and shoppers.
eCommerce Store Builder: helping businesses get online
In support of emerging entrepreneurs, micro-retailers and side-business operators, Canada Post recently introduced its eCommerce Store Builder.
Launched on July 31, the AI-enabled tool allows users to create a professional online storefront in minutes, free of charge and without technical expertise. Businesses also benefit from a selection of mobile-ready website templates, a personalized web address, secure payment options, shipping and fulfillment solutions, inventory management capabilities, integrated social media tools and Solutions for Small Business pricing.
By lowering barriers to entry, the eCommerce Store Builder enables more Canadians to participate in the growing ecommerce economy.
New market insights for Canadian businesses
Canada Post’s exclusive Canadian shopper behaviour research and its fulfillment and logistics best practices provide businesses with new insights into where demand is growing, what customers expect and how to optimize their operations.
The two reports – Inside the Buy Canadian Mindset and Scaling ecommerce fulfillment in Canada – focus on helping businesses, large and small, navigate a continually evolving retail landscape and build long-term resilience amid ongoing market challenges.
