An import permit is required for most commercial goods. Before posting any item, senders should confirm that the addressee has any necessary permit.

The following items can no longer be sent as gifts:

Documentation Required

Information regarding Customs can be found in "Customs Requirements" of the Canada Postal Guide.

The import customs declaration exemption limit for postal items being delivered to an individual person and containing non-commercial goods has changed from the previous limit of 150 EUR to 30 EUR.

Commercial goods mailed to Turkey require an inserted invoice. Mark the outside of the article FACTURE INSÉRÉE. Dutiable goods exceeding 50 Turkish pounds require a Certificate of Origin endorsed by a Turkish consul.

A customs duty shall be applied on the value of the contents at the rate of 30% for EU countries and 60% for non-EU countries for all inbound postal items containing goods, all of which are subject to customs clearance and customs duty.
