Canada Post’s Addressed Mail Marketing Address List

The Canada Post’s Addressed Mail Marketing Address List contains residential addresses, business names and business addresses.

Canada Post rents aggregated residential and business data lists for marketing purposes. Canada Post-generated residential address data files do not contain names, only targeted addresses for mailing. These data are compiled from Canada Post’s internal information and third-party sources.

Canada Post makes these data files available to customers through a third-party provider, so customers can send specific, addressed, targeted marketing offers through the mail.

If you do not want your address to be in the Addressed Mail Marketing Address List, please complete this form.

What your opt-out means

Your address will be removed from the Canada Post Mail Addressed Marketing Address List.
This opt-out applies only to your current address. If you move, you will have to separately opt-out with respect to the new address, if desired.
Everyone at the address you enter will be removed from the Canada Post Addressed Mail Marketing Address List.
It can take up to 10 business days to remove your information.
Because marketing campaigns may already be started, it can take up to 90 days to stop getting marketing mail
You can only enter up to three (3) name and addresses

You cannot opt-out of being in the database we use to move the mail.

Opting-out of the Canada Post Address Database will not stop all marketing mail, only the mail that uses the Canada Post-provided addressed lists. If you want to receive less marketing mail you can also let the Canadian Marketing Association (CMA) know. All members of the CMA, including Canada Post, must honour the choice you register with the CMA.

You can opt-out with the CMA by going to CMA Do Not Mail Service.
