You can send money online or from any post office. Transfers sent to a bank account are deposited automatically. If the recipient is picking up cash, provide them with the MoneyGram™ reference number.
Important
The recipient’s name must match their ID exactly (for example, “John D. Smith” is not the same as “John David Smith”).
Estimate the cost
You can get a free quote for your money transfer fee from the post office. Alternatively, you can also use the MoneyGram cost estimator to calculate fees based on the amount and destination.
Visit a post office
Bring the following:
Government-issued photo ID (such as a passport or driver’s license)
Important
Please note that you can’t pay by credit card.
Fill out the transfer details online and you will receive a barcode.
Bring the barcode (printed or on your mobile device) to a post office.
Pay with cash or debit.
Go to MoneyGram.
Enter recipient details, the amount and the delivery method.
Pay with a debit card (credit card payment is not accepted).
