How do I cancel a shipping label or manifest online?

On July 2, 2025, Canada Post introduced event-based billing for parcel shipments. With this change, you will only be billed for items that are physically scanned in Canada Post's network and you’ll no longer be required to submit label cancellation requests for items not shipped.

For shipping labels created prior to July 2, 2025, you can cancel a shipping label or manifest for many services online, as long as you haven’t provided your shipment to Canada Post yet. You can cancel the shipping label or manifest for services such as:

    • Expedited Parcel™
    • Xpresspost™
    • Priority™ Worldwide
    • Regular Parcel™
    • Small Packet™
    • Tracked Packet™

Note: If you plan to replace your manifest with a new one, create your new manifest before you cancel your old one. During the cancellation, reference the new manifest.
