Rural, northern and Indigenous communities in Canada are often under-served when it comes to financial and community services. Access to services may require a lengthy drive and sometimes online access isn’t a reliable way to get the things members of the community need. Our newest post office concept brings new services to help fill potential gaps in these communities.

What to expect in our new post offices

Canada Post is piloting new post offices across Canada that will showcase and test new features including some, or all, of the following:

  • Money services

    • ATM
    • Canada Post MyMoney Loan
    • Money transfers
  • Staples

    • business supplies
    • computer workstation
    • printing and shredding
  • Electric vehicle (EV) charging

  • Rentable meeting rooms

  • Access to local business and community information

  • Secure access to:

    • Package drop off
    • Postal and parcel boxes

Money services for you

Some sites include an onsite ATM and information on Canada Post’s newest money service – the Canada Post MyMoney Loan.

Going green with electric vehicle charging

We know Canadians are making more eco-friendly choices, which is why some new post offices have EV charging stations that are compatible with all electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

A one-stop-shop for your small business needs

You will be able to drop off your mail and pick up business supplies in one location, thanks to a wide selection of Staples business supplies.

Helping communities

Canada Post is excited to provide communities with better access to products and services they might be currently missing. We will use this new post office as a learning experience to continue to bring more value to Canadians and help better serve the communities that rely on us.

The new post offices are located at:

  • Membertou, Nova Scotia – Unit 1 – 90 San’tele’sew Awti
  • High Prairie, Alberta – 4801 52 Avenue
