Supplier Account: what you need to know
Supplier Account is a way for meter customers to pay for parcel shipments using Canada Post’s Snap Ship, Shipping Manager or EST Desktop 2.0.

How to get started
- Get your account numbers – If you use EST, your meter supplier will provide a Canada Post customer number (if you don’t already have one) and a Supplier Account number. If you have not received these, contact your meter supplier.
- Start shipping with Supplier Account – Use EST or an approved supplier shipping platform to pay for parcels. Enter your Supplier Account number and Canada Post customer number where required. You can also add the Supplier Account number to your online Canada Post profile.
- Create shipping labels – Use EST or a supplier platform to prepare shipping labels. Choose Supplier Account as the payment option. Charges will be applied to the same account you use to fund your meter.
- Label and ship – Print and apply a barcoded Canada Post shipping label. A meter impression is no longer required when using Supplier Account.

Canada Post offers several electronic shipping tools that let you create labels, track shipments, send updates and apply discounts.
- Snap Ship – Ideal tool for small business shipping. Print labels and get rates in only 5 minutes.
- Shipping Manager – Our tool for businesses with shipping contracts. Prepare multiple shipments to send anywhere in the world.
- EST Desktop 2.0 – Desktop software for medium to large businesses who ship high volumes. Automate processes, import order data and print shipping labels on a thermal or laser printer.
- Meter vendor shipping application – Leverage the meter vendor's application that is connected to Canada Post to access your Solution for Small Business or contract rates.
