To stop getting unaddressed advertising, simply put a note on your mailbox stating that you do not wish to receive Canada Post Neighbourhood Mail™. Place the note in or on your mailbox, or on the inside lip of your community mailbox, group mailbox or postal box.

If you continue to receive unaddressed advertising after you have placed the note on your mailbox, fill out the form below to create a service ticket. We’ll investigate the issue.
What we can stop delivering
At your request, we can stop delivering most unaddressed advertising material, such as:
- Retail flyers and restaurant menus
- Free product samples and coupons
- Unaddressed magazines and store catalogues
- Notices from non-profit organizations
- Offers from banking institutions and telecommunication services
What we cannot stop delivering
You will continue to receive the following material from Canada Post:
- Community newspapers (maximum ratio of 70% advertising, including all enclosures, to 30% editorial content)
- Mailings in the public (as opposed to commercial) interest from government departments/agencies at federal, provincial, territorial, municipal levels and band councils
- Materials from Elections Canada, provincial/territorial chief electoral officers and municipal election officials (or the deputy returning officer), including material from political parties and electoral candidates during an election
- Any addressed mail, including addressed advertising materials
Please note that you may continue to receive unaddressed advertising material from distributors other than Canada Post.
