Have important delivery status information about your shipped items sent directly to your email or wireless device.

How to sign up for email delivery updates

1. Find your tracking number on:
   • your shipping receipt or confirmation email from the sender
   • a prepaid envelope or flat rate box label
2. Go to Track and enter your tracking number.
3. Select "Email notifications" above the delivery status.
4. Complete the request form and submit.

Select up to 3 different types of delivery updates:

1. Ship: Notification that your package was received by Canada Post.
2. Exception: Notification of any unforeseen delivery interruptions, including packages that are returned to the sender.
3. Delivery: Notification when the item is at different stages of delivery:
   • When a delivery notice card has been delivered, informing the recipient that the package is available for pick up at a nearby post office.
   • When the signature image or signatory name is available to view online, if applicable.
   • When the item is scanned as successfully delivered.

You can add up to 4 email addresses to the delivery email request.

How to get delivery notifications on your mobile device

Get updates on your iOS device

1. Download the Canada Post app on the App Store.
2. Open the Canada Post app. It will automatically ask if you want to receive notifications to track the status of your items. Select the button to turn on notifications.
   
   If you previously downloaded the app and skipped the prompt to turn on notifications, open the app and tap on the bell icon at the top right. It will take you to the Apple Settings app where you can select to allow notifications from Canada Post.
3. You will now receive notifications when the status changes for items you’ve added to your track list.

Get updates on your Android device

1. Download the Canada Post app on Google Play.
2. Open the Canada Post app. It will automatically ask if you want to receive notifications to track the status of your items. Select the button to turn on notifications.
   
   If you previously downloaded the app and skipped the prompt to turn on notifications, open the app and tap on the bell icon at the top right. It allows you to turn notifications on or off and a message at the bottom of the screen confirms your action.
3. You will now receive notifications when the status changes for items you’ve added to your track list.

Delivery updates are not available if the item has already been delivered.
