How to schedule and prepare a home pickup

We will pick up a maximum of three (3) packages per scheduled pickup. Packages can be returns and/or outgoing shipments. All packages must adhere to the following standards:

• Each package must be secure in a box or envelope with a Canada Post label affixed to it
• Each package must have a weight not exceeding 22.7kg / 50 lb.
• The dimensions of each package should not exceed 300 cm / 118 in (78.7” x 78.7” x 78.7”). If your package exceeds 300 cm (118 in.) or is over 200 cm (78.7 in.) on any side, please bring it to a nearby post office.

Canada Post does not accept any mail or packages that:

• Are prohibited by law (i.e., illegal items, obscene material, or items that may not be imported or sent by mail)
• Fails to meet certain physical characteristics or marking requirements
• Contains products or substances that could cause:
  • Injury to those handling the mail
  • Damage to postal equipment or other items
  • Entrapment of other items

All items scheduled for Home Pickup must be securely packaged in a sturdy, sealed box or envelope suitable for shipping. Canada Post cannot accept unpackaged or loosely wrapped items for pickup.

If you don’t have a box or suitable packaging, you can purchase shipping supplies at your local post office or through the Canada Post online store.

Yes, as long as the prepaid label is a valid Canada Post shipping label, you can schedule a home pickup.

No, the Home Pickup service is exclusively for packages to be shipped by Canada Post. Packages with shipping labels from other carriers are not eligible for pickup through this service and will not be picked up.

Yes, the standard fee is $3.50 per pickup, which includes up to three (3) packages. The fee will be charged on the date of the pickup. There are no refunds for the Home Pickup service.
