It allows them to overcome their personal obstacles independently and feel more confident and comfortable. Inspired by their products and mission, we selected them as a finalist in our 2022 Tales of Triumph contest in the Doing Good category. Let’s get to know this amazing company.

About Jonick

Jonick offers adaptive clothing that’s strategically designed to look like regular clothing. It’s designed for people with disabilities or reduced mobility and helps them feel confident and comfortable. Their products are made with easy-to-care-for, machine-washable fabrics to ensure stress-free customer care.

Meeting a need

From a young age, Chantal, founder of Jonick, wanted to be an entrepreneur. She founded the company to help members of her own family.

Everything changed for me when my mother was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago. Every morning, the task of dressing her became more and more complex.

Chantal

Founder,

Jonick

Chantal searched obsessively for suitable clothing solutions for her mother but couldn’t find any. She consulted with nurses, nursing homes and peers, but still found nothing suitable for her mother’s needs.

It was clear that there was a gap in the market for accessible clothing, so Chantal made it her mission to improve the wellbeing of people living with dementia and similar conditions by meeting this need.

Expanding their product offerings

Since its launch, Jonick has expanded its product line to offer accessible clothing for people of all shapes and sizes – from XS to 3 XL , in styles that they can wear with confidence. From dresses, vests and blouses to nightwear, shoes and jackets – they have it all. They release two collections per year so their customers have access to clothing that is on trend.

Delivering memorable shopping experiences

Jonick is committed to their clients. If you can’t visit them, they will come to you! Jonick’s mobile team sets up pop-up shops in retirement and nursing homes to ensure that everyone with reduced mobility or a disability has access to clothing that meets their needs. They deliver an unforgettable and attentive shopping experience that customers love.

Going above and beyond

As if their mission wasn’t inspiring enough, they also donate a portion of their proceeds to organizations such as the Alzheimer Society of Canada.  Jonick is more than an apparel company. Their business helps deliver more for Canadians.
