Global e-commerce is increasing rapidly, and with it comes higher expectations from shippers and receivers. Canada Post is committed to improving its services to meet your changing needs and expectations.

Expanding the reach of the Xpresspost™ - International service
We’re excited to offer Xpresspost - International to 19 additional countries. Effective October 24, you will be able to ship items to these destinations using Xpresspost - International instead of International Air Parcel, which is slower and lacks the features Xpresspost - International has to offer. The higher quality service offers:

  • Tracking
  • Delivery confirmation
  • Signature

Change to claim eligibility for Expedited Parcel™ service guarantee during peak season
Canadians are shopping online like never before. This change in how they use postal services has created unprecedented growth in parcel volumes year-round, especially during the busy holiday season. While we remain committed to making every effort to maintain our published Expedited Parcel service standards every day, we believe in being transparent with our customers regarding the challenges of delivery during the busiest time of the year.

As a result, from November 21, 2016 to January 6, 2017, Canada Post will only honour service guarantee claims for late delivery if an Expedited Parcel item is delivered two or more business days after the delivery standard, instead of one.

This adjustment, made to fit the realities and complexities of delivery during the busiest time of the year, will allow us to continue to provide you and your customers with a positive customer experience and a service standard you can count on. The service guarantee for Priority and Xpresspost services will not change during peak season.
