This morning, Canada Post is opening a new temporary postal facility in order to better process the mail and facilitate mail pick-ups.

Community mailboxes and street letter boxes will be cleared as early as 8:00 am local time, and mail will be collected from post offices as early as noon local time. Items deposited after mail is collected on December 24 or 31 will be processed the next business day.

Communities and regions where mail cannot be delivered can pick up their mail (including Canada child benefit cheques) at the following post offices

Canada Post is resetting passwords for all online customer accounts, starting on October 16, 2019. Customers with online accounts will receive an automated email from Canada Post that includes the steps to reset their password.

Delays are expected for all mail items sent to Australia between September 26 and October 9, 2016 due to strike activity by the Border Protection Department, which oversees customs clearance.

There’s an email being circulated which suggests that prices are not consistent between post offices. Let’s clear this up: This email is false. Here’s why:

Have you received a letter that has a Canada Post logo on it and is identified as coming from Canada Post, asking you to secretly pose as a customer sending funds using electronic money transfer services such as Western Union or MoneyGram and explaining that your role is to help rate the performance level of the money transfer service offered at Canada Post or Shoppers Drug Mart outlets or other establishments?

Canada Post is warning Canadians to be aware of a recent scam in which some individuals are receiving a letter fraudulently using the Canada Post logo and identified as coming from Canada Post.

Canada Post wishes to alert customers that an email containing misinformation regarding discrepancies in pricing between Canada Post corporate outlets and private postal outlets has resurfaced.

Canada Post must deliver all mail as required under the Canada Post Corporation Act and Regulations. These requirements are similar to those followed by many other countries.
