To celebrate the 75th anniversary of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), Canada Post will issue a commemorative envelope on June 14. The cancellation bears the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada's anniversary logo.
The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada was established in 1929, the result of a special Act of Parliament, to serve as a national private not-for-profit organization. Today, it is tasked with defining Canada's national standards for education, assessment and certification of its 38,000 medical and surgical specialists members, and also contributes to the development of sound national health policies.
Canada Post's brilliant, multi-hued domestic rate (49¢) maple leaf definitive stamp, designed by Joe Gault, graces the front of this commemorative envelope.
